WordPress Maintenance and Support Services
Keep your site monitored and backed up, fix issues, update content, and add functionality. Choose technical care only or a monthly block of development hours.
When ongoing WordPress support makes sense
A WordPress site can run for years without a full rebuild, but work still comes up. A page needs changing, a new section has to be added, a form breaks, an external service needs connecting, or an issue appears after another change.
Ongoing support makes sense when these tasks are regular but keeping a developer on staff does not. We retain the project context and can pick up the next task without learning the site again from scratch.
What we handle
The exact scope depends on the plan and the current workload. Support is not limited to installing WordPress and plugin updates.
Bug fixes
We find the cause and fix issues with forms, layouts, mobile views, the admin area, plugins, or individual site functions.
Content changes
We add and edit pages, copy, images, products, and other content. When needed, we also change the page structure itself.
New sections and features
We refine the existing theme and add forms, calculators, page sections, and other functionality the project needs.
Integrations
We connect analytics, CRM systems, lead forms, payment services, and APIs when the task is suitable for the existing WordPress setup.
Technical and SEO changes
We implement agreed recommendations, fix technical issues, and update metadata, templates, and internal site structure.
Performance work
We investigate slow pages and work with heavy elements, caching, and the database. The available result depends on the site, theme, plugins, and hosting.
Backups and recovery
We create a working backup before risky changes. If a change causes a problem, we can return the site to a stable version.
Uptime monitoring
Automated monitoring alerts us when the site stops responding. We check the cause and determine what is required to restore it.
We do not update a working site without a reason
A new plugin version does not automatically mean it should be installed immediately. An update can change site behaviour, create a conflict, or break a function that was working correctly.
We update WordPress, a theme, or a plugin when there is a reason: a security issue, a compatibility problem, preparation for development work, or a feature that genuinely requires the new version.
Before a risky change, we create a backup. For a complex site or an update that affects an important function, we test it on staging first. The production site should not be the testing ground.
WordPress Care: keep the site under watch
WordPress Care
- Uptime monitoring
- Automated backups
- Backup success checks
- Periodic site health checks
- Critical vulnerability monitoring
- Alerts and initial diagnosis
- One-time setup: $150
Support plans include hours for real work
Monitoring alone is not enough when the site needs regular changes. Monthly support plans include developer hours that can be used for agreed tasks.
All three plans include the WordPress Care baseline. Automated uptime monitoring and backups do not reduce the available development hours.
WordPress support pricing
Micro Care
10 hours / month
$500 / month
Standard Webmastering
20 hours / month
$1,000 / month
Active Care & Growth
40 hours / month
$2,000 / month
20–30% of unused hours can carry over for 30 days, as agreed for the project. Overtime: +5 hours = $250, +10 hours = $450.
Where support ends and a separate project begins
Most current work can be completed within the purchased hours. We fix issues, change existing pages, add sections, and connect new services.
A major rebuild, a complex customer portal, or replacement of a large part of the existing system may need a separate estimate. We review the task first and explain whether it fits the support plan.
Work outside the plan does not begin automatically. We agree on the scope, price, and implementation order first.
Hosting and WordPress support solve different problems
You can keep your current hosting provider. The two services cover different parts of the site.
Hosting
- Provides the server where the site is hosted.
- Maintains its own infrastructure and the resources included in the hosting plan.
- Usually does not fix WordPress code, layouts, forms, plugins, or business logic.
WordPress support
- Handles the site itself rather than the server infrastructure.
- Covers bugs, content changes, functionality, and agreed development work.
- Works with the existing hosting and raises infrastructure issues when they affect the site.
Hosting, domain registration, and paid software licences are billed separately.
How ongoing support works
Review the site
We receive the required access and review the WordPress setup, theme, plugins, and project-specific details.
Set up technical monitoring
We connect uptime monitoring and backups, then check whether the site can be restored if something goes wrong.
Collect and prioritize tasks
The client sends tasks in writing. We clarify the requirements, estimate the work, and agree on the order.
Make the changes
Small safe changes can go straight to the site. Risky work is completed on a copy or staging environment first.
Check the result
We check the changed function and the related parts of the site on desktop and mobile devices.
Record completed work
We send a short list of completed tasks, time spent, and the remaining hours without a long formal report.
WooCommerce, Multisite, and several websites
We can support WooCommerce stores and WordPress Multisite networks after an initial review. We look at the project structure, installed plugins, custom code, and functions that are critical to day-to-day work.
This assessment matters most for sites with orders, payments, a shared user database, or several connected websites. A mistake can affect an entire workflow rather than one page.
One block of hours can be used across several websites by agreement. We review their condition first and make sure the selected plan is realistic.
Response times and urgent work
We respond to regular requests within one business day. If the site is unavailable or an important function stops working, the task receives priority during working hours.
A developer is not on call around the clock, but automated monitoring runs continuously and records when the site stops responding.
If a site is already hacked or badly damaged before onboarding, we assess the problem first. Recovery and cleanup may use support hours or require a separate estimate when the scope is substantial.
Why impik.dev
When a task affects more than code, a developer can work together with an SEO specialist or copywriter. This is useful when a change also touches page structure, content, or search optimization.
We retain the project context and the reasoning behind earlier decisions. The client does not have to explain the site again before every new task.

WordPress maintenance questions
No. A new version number is not enough reason to change a stable site. We update when a release fixes a security issue, solves a compatibility problem, or is required for a specific task.
WordPress Care covers automated monitoring, backups, and initial diagnosis. Fixes and development are billed separately. Ongoing support includes 10, 20, or 40 hours of work each month.
No. We first identify the likely cause and estimate the work. A small task can be billed separately, while regular requests are better suited to a monthly support plan.
Yes, by prior agreement. We review the sites and check whether the selected number of hours is realistic for the combined workload.
Yes, after an initial review. Stores and multisite networks depend more heavily on plugins, databases, and custom code, so we need to understand the setup before accepting responsibility for it.
No. Hosting, domain registration, and paid licences are billed separately. We can work with the current provider and give technical recommendations when needed.
By agreement, 20 to 30 percent of the unused balance can carry over for the next 30 days. The exact rule is fixed when the plan starts.
Yes. An additional 5 hours costs $250, and an additional 10 hours costs $450.
Tasks are sent in writing through the agreed communication channel. This preserves requirements, comments, and decisions without requiring regular calls.
Monitoring records the outage. We check the site, determine the likely cause, and explain what is required to restore it. The fix uses available support hours or is billed separately.
Yes. If ongoing support is not needed yet, we can estimate the task separately. After it is completed, the project can end or move to WordPress Care or a monthly support plan.
