CASE STUDY · SEO

How search traffic grew more than sevenfold in one year

The website developed in several directions at once: the catalogue, services, articles, and installation pages for specific vehicles. Overall growth remained weak for almost a year, but the work continued. The change became visible in autumn 2025, and by July 2026 monthly search traffic was more than seven times higher than a year earlier.

STARTING POINT

SEO began on an existing WordPress website

We had built this website ourselves long before the ongoing SEO work began. We already knew its structure and could make the necessary changes without first untangling another team's implementation.

Having a website was not enough to produce growth. The catalogue needed systematic optimisation, product pages needed more original content, and both commercial and informational topics were underdeveloped.

The company served two types of demand: equipment sales and car alarm installation. Installation was particularly important to the business.

THE DECISIONThe website did not need to be replaced. We invested in structure, content, and priority improvements instead.

The existing foundation was good enough to develop

If we were building this project today, we would choose a different technical and visual approach. But a new version would have required a separate budget and would not have solved the SEO challenge on its own.

We reviewed the structure, identified the priority areas, and began improving the website step by step. Where technical or content changes were necessary, we implemented them within the existing system.

This approach is not right for every project. Here, it made more sense to invest in developing the working website than to replace it solely for a more modern implementation.

STRATEGY

Traffic did not depend on one group of pages

We did not look for one page that would produce all the growth. The website developed across several areas connected with different customer needs.

01

Catalogue and product pages

Optimised categories, improved equipment pages, and rewrote repeated descriptions.

02

Service pages

Created and improved pages for installation and related services.

03

Work on specific vehicles

Published installation examples for particular makes, models, and generations.

04

Articles

Answered questions about choosing, using, and maintaining car alarm systems.

LOCAL SEO

Moscow and Lyubertsy required a separate structure

Before changing the regional structure, we examined the search results and how competitors appeared in each area.

We then separated the regional versions of the website. This allowed pages to match each service location more precisely instead of forcing one page to answer two local searches equally.

Search engines did not accept the new structure immediately. It developed alongside the catalogue, service pages, and the rest of the content.

SPECIFIC DEMAND

Pages for specific vehicles

Before installing an alarm, people often search for more than the service in general. They want information about a particular make, model, generation, or model year.

We developed a section covering completed installations for these queries. Each page can show the vehicle, installed equipment, the particular requirements, and the final scope of work.

These publications demonstrate experience while also serving as landing pages for narrow search demand.

COMPOUNDING WORK

The work continued while the graph barely moved

Stage 01

Reviewed the website and regional demand

Identified the priority areas and a new regional structure.

Stage 02

Reworked the catalogue and products

Improved categories, equipment pages, and repeated descriptions.

Stage 03

Developed services, installation examples, and articles

Each page type covered a different part of search demand.

Stage 04

Almost a year without a clear return

Overall growth remained weak while the site continued accumulating useful pages.

Stage 05 · now

Sustained growth began

By autumn 2025, the accumulated work became visible in the overall trend.

TURNING POINTGrowth came from a body of changes, not one successful page or isolated fix.

The accumulated work became visible in the overall trend

Search traffic began to climb in autumn 2025. It did not happen after one isolated change or publication. By then, improvements had accumulated across several parts of the website.

The available data does not support attributing the entire result to one page type. The catalogue, service pages, articles, and content about specific vehicles were all developing at the same time.

The work continued after the first clear rise. Traffic did not return to its earlier level and reached a new high by the end of the comparison period.

ONGOING WORKAfter the first clear result, we continue expanding priority areas and improving existing sections.

SEO did not end after the first period of growth

The project remains under ongoing management. We continue to improve existing sections and add content where we see a useful direction for the client and the business.

The product range changes, new vehicles and services appear, and customers ask new questions. Each creates a subject for future pages and improvements.

For the client, the growth is the result of long-term work that continued through a period of weak performance. For us, this is an active project, not a finished story built around one favourable point on a graph.

An existing website can grow without an unnecessary rebuild

SEO does not always require a new website. When the current platform does not obstruct the work, the budget can go into structure, content, and the improvements the site actually needs.

Consistent work across different sections produced strong overall growth, even though the trend was not yet visible in the first months.

This result belongs to a specific project. The rate of growth depends on the site's starting point, search demand, competition, and the volume of work completed.
